Narrated Sahl: I heard the Prophet saying, “A (small) place equal to an area occupied by a whip in Paradise is better than the (whole) world and whatever is in it; and an undertaking (journey) in the forenoon or in the afternoon for Allah’s Cause, is better than the whole world and whatever is in [...]

I have a silver book at home that I have had for some years now. Whenever I come across something that I like, I tend to make a note of this in my book. I have collected many Qur’an verses, Ahadith, Poems, Quotations etc in this book over the last five years now. I was rummaging through it today and noticed these [...]

Prophet Musa (AS) once was quoted as saying:
“This dunya is like a bridge so quickly get across it and don’t spend time building on it.”
What does this mean in reality? It is warning that this life is only a temporary stay. Life is a bridge that every person from the time of Adam (AS) till [...]

A king was once travelling. The soldiers were clearing the roads ahead of his entourage with great hue and cry when they saw a man lying in the middle of the road. They ordered the him to move and clear the road as the king was coming.
The man replied, “King? What king? He is the [...]

Prophet Isa (AS) once passed by a grave whose inmate was being tormented. After some days he happened to pass by the same grave. This time there was no punishment. The inmate was in great comfort.
This surprised Isa (AS) a great deal. He asked Allah, “Lord, what brought Your Mercy so that you lifted the [...]

Everything should begin with بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ. Any important work that does not begin with بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ is imperfect.
Saying بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ before any action makes that action into a form of ibaadah.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ has 19 letters. And the angels of Jahannum are 19. Anyone who says بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ will be [...]

Allah knows what’s best for us
So why should we complain?
We always want the sunshine
But He knows there must be rain
We always want the laughter
And the merriment of cheer
But our hearts lose their tenderness
If we never shed a tear
Allah tests us often
With suffering and with sorrow
He tests us not to punish us
But to help us meet [...]

I am a Book in elegant prints
To know my name, here are some hints:
Rich in cover and nicely bound
In hearts of Muslims I am rarely found
High on a shelf I am usually kept
Forgotten and neglected, I am left
With respect I do get lots of kiss
My main point is what they always miss
At times I am [...]

I just love this hadith…
“Do not wish to be like anyone except in two cases; (the first) a person whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously. (The second is) the one on whom Allah has given wisdom (knowledge of the Noble Qur’an) and he acts accordingly to it and teaches it to [...]

This is a beautiful hadith that illustrates one of the (many) blessings of Salaah.
The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) once asked his Companions:
“Do you believe that dirt can remain on a person bathing five times a day in a stream running in front of his door?”
The Companions replied in the negative, that is, no dirt can remain on [...]
